Mikan's dorm room | Day #3

[ Bingo day definitely felt longer than speed dating, though having an aim to work towards as well as speaking to people allowed her to keep going. She managed to get the book for Yuri, chocolates and wine to share with Allen, something to share with Sayori, some make up and hair products and now, pocky and bubble tea to share with Mikan.

She knocks on the other girl's door, trying to hold onto her blanket and the big box of pocky with one hand, a bottle of wine is tucked under that arm and she's holding two glasses with the other.

It isn't a strong wine or anything, it's more to set the mood than anything else. ]

[ Right at the end would be the opportune moment tbh. Save her from herself, Mikan. But... god being cheered on like that actually embarrasses her a little. ] I will try to bear that in mind. If I am honest... I keep being told mixed opinions on the matter, so we shall see.

[ Though ah... there she goes. ]

You will not know for certain until you ask him though, will you? I think even if he did not feel the same, Hinata-san would be honest with you. He would not wish to hurt your feelings by leading you on either. [ But oh my god. ] I... admit I saw that too. During the bingo, yes? It is actually simpler than I imagined it would be.

[ She looks thoughtful. ]

Besides, I do not think someone he just met would match up to someone he has known from home... someone he can go home with, no? [ Her smile turns sheepish. ] Though if you are worried about how to do it... I am not really an expert either but I am willing to help you practice? If that is not too strange to say?

[Mikan listens, knowing that she's right about Hinata, but... the doubt eats away at her regardless] I-I guess... [And it IS true they'd be going home together anyhow-- But, then again, it's also to different versions of that home...Apparently. But Hinata was still Hinata, no matter what, right?

She's so lost in her own head that she almost misses exactly what Sonia is asking, humming lightly in acknowledgement, before she actually acknowledges it. Mikan shoots back up, eyes wide]

P-practice? With you? A-are you sure? I mean, um, I don't-- [It's pretty ell established that Mikan's pretty bi. A good 50/50 split. Maaaybe 60/40 in favor of The Gay, so the fact it's practicing kissing with another girl doesn't bother her at all. It's the fact that it's Sonia offer. Pretty, perfect Sonia, lowering herself to lock lips with someone like Mikan?? She feels dizzy.]

I don't... m-mind... If you're sure.

[assent]

[ She has no idea about the Different Versions thing though, as only Komaeda brought it up and he backtracked my saying his memory was probably wrong instead. Sonia is Oblivious to the timeline issues. ]

Well... That is nothing too bad, yes? And if you are truly worried about it, I would like you to have the confidence to ask him to kiss you or... [ She laughs faintly. ] I suppose you could YOLO and just go for it like a champ. [ What. ] But I do not mind if it will help you.

[discerp]

YOLO... [SONIA... Just "go for it"?? Please. She doesn't have your confidence Sonia, she's not gonna go out and bang someone after this pep talk.

But she nods in acceptance of this, looking embarrassed.] ...O-okay. Um. Okay! Let's do this!

[Except she can't bring herself to just kiss Sonia without a build up or something which leas to her just sort of. Staring at her intensely trying to work up the courage.

This is going great.]

[assent]

[ Yes??? Just "go for it" indeed. Sonia also did not need this pep talk to go out and bang someone, apparently. Things!! Happen!! ]

Whenever you are ready.

[ She'll even make it slightly easier on the other girl by shutting her eyes and leaning forward so Mikan won't have as far to go. ]

[discerp]

[Sonia closing her eyes definitely helps and Mikan does another slow breathing exercise to calm herself. Inhale. Exhale.

She's got this.

Mikan sits up on her knees and braces one hand on the bed for balance before she leans in to tentatively press her mouth to Sonia's in the chastest of kisses. To start, anyhow.]

[ It's strange waiting for it and even when it happens she doesn't want to move too suddenly and startle Mikan. All she does is carefully tilt her head a little more, trying to make the angle a bit better for them both before Mikan pulls away again. ]

[discerp]

[Alright, so far so good. Mikan relaxes with a little breath and feels encouraged; sitting up again, Mikan places one hand on Sonia's shoulder to balance herself better and to draw her in for another kiss.

This one's a little more confident now, a little bolder, and if Mikan closes her eyes too it makes it all a little less embarrassing to face the realization she's making out with her friend for the hell of it.

But, you know, YOLO and all that, apparently.]

[assent]

[ Sonia's hand sinks into the bed at her side, her eyes fluttering between open and shut as she's pulled into another kiss. It's better now Mikan is being a little more confident, that she's being less hesitant.

With that in mind she'll apply a little more pressure herself now, lips sliding against her friends, curving over Mikan's lower lip, then upper lip in turns. At least at the moment it's still fairly sweet????? ]

[Mikan makes a content little noise like a hum, and after a moment she pulls away again, opening her eyes a little to look at Sonia. There's a sort of hazy feeling of comfort, like despite how the situation is sort of strange--who just makes out with their classmate/friend in their room for practice!!--it's still okay. Comfortable.

Just gals bein' pals, you know.]

Was that... alright?

[assent]

[ It’s hard to not feel disappointment when Mikan pulls away, though it wouldn’t be fair on either of them to voice anything like that so she settles for a softer smile. ]

Yes, of course. I do not think you needed to worry at all.

[discerp]

[Mikan nods lightly, her smile a little uncertain]

Sonia-san, I, um... W-would it be okay to, um... M-maybe practice again later? [She asks the question in a bit of a rush, her face burning red]

[assent]

[ Sonia's own face flushes a little, too. ]

Again today or... another day? [ Just to be. Clear. ]

[discerp]

[Mikan looks like she's possibly going to explode from embarrassment, but it's. Fine. Probably.]

M-maybe, um... Maybe today? N-not right this second, but maybe... A little later? Wh-when I don't feel like I'm about to have a heart attack!

[assent]

[ How endearing... she pats Mikan on the hand, trying to be gentle and encouraging. ]

Of course, whenever you are ready surprise me--as that will be more similar to the real incident, yes?

[discerp]

S-surprise you... Sure, right. O-okay.

[JUST. SURPRISE HER. She could do that, right? No problem!

Embarrassed still, Mikan grabs the pocky box as she sits back, hastily trying to get it open] Y-you know, I think it's been a while since I've had pocky! E-eating unhealthy things once in a while is good too, j-just as a treat! Eheh... And there are a lot of different flavors you should try, Sonia-san!

[assent]

[ She believes in you, Mikan! You've got this. ]

People are supposed to have a balanced diet are they not? Hanamura-san often cooked things for us that were like that, though I remember being full enough to not need snacks so this really is a treat.
