It just feels like being cut off, even if she knows it's a rational decision on his part too. She doesn't know what he can do, but given the connotations of what he is... She can imagine it would probably not be pleasant to deal with in the end.
Was she either though? She's already killed people before being infected here because of how she'd snapped. The only thing she can do with this is try harder so no one else has to go through this fate -- though she isn't sure how far along others are anymore either. ]
