Mikan's dorm room | Day #3

[ Bingo day definitely felt longer than speed dating, though having an aim to work towards as well as speaking to people allowed her to keep going. She managed to get the book for Yuri, chocolates and wine to share with Allen, something to share with Sayori, some make up and hair products and now, pocky and bubble tea to share with Mikan.

She knocks on the other girl's door, trying to hold onto her blanket and the big box of pocky with one hand, a bottle of wine is tucked under that arm and she's holding two glasses with the other.

It isn't a strong wine or anything, it's more to set the mood than anything else. ]

[Mikan looks confused a moment before she remembers that Sonia hadn't gotten her memories back or anything. Right. She just nods and gives a determined sort of look]

Um! When-- When we get out of here... Let's go on a f-food tour!

[assent]

[ Y u p. Mikan you're the only one who knows everything... ]

That sounds wonderful! Will you take me to all the different styles of Japanese cuisine?

[Stop reminding her!!

Mikan giggles a bit and nods, getting excited about it herself] Mmhm! Osaka is the best place to go for food, s-so we can start there! But each region is known for something special, s-so there'll be a lot of specially flavored things you can only get there or are featured more. Like, um.. Aomori is really well-known for apples! So you can get a lot of apple-flavored specialties there, like kitkats and things like that!

I think you'd like experimenting with okonomiyaki too... [She trails off and then looks sheepish] W-we're just going to make ourselves hungry at this rate... I-it's too bad Hanamura-san isn't here... [Words no one expected to be said ever]

[assent]

[ She's read some of these things, of course, but it always sounds better when a friend is telling you all about them. ]

I am already getting flamed up thinking about it! Though... um. While it is not the same as Hanamura-san, have you tried some of the food Ruler or Akira made? They were quite useful in the kitchen.

[ aka she would have starved without them. ]

A-ah, no... I wasn't sure if I was really allowed to take anything, so...

[She's probably been shoving raw veggies in her face to keep alive and not bother anyone, lbr.]

But, um, if it's really okay, I'll try something next time I get the chance!

Mikan-san... Have you been cooking for yourself?

[ Isn't she supposed to be the nurse here???? PLEASE EAT??? ]

With Akira he had simply made too much but Ruler I am certain was making food for everyone.

W-well... Um. 'Cooking' is a bit of a stretch...? Ehehe...

[LOOK. DO AS SHE SAYS, NOT AS SHE DOES.]

B-but it's fine! I don't mind vegetables! They're good for you! [Not the point mikan]

[ Her mouth drops a bit, frowning in concern. ] If you would like I would not mind asking him to help us, If you are concerned about it...?

[Mikan perks up a little, and then deflates with uncertainty]

Would it really be okay...? I-I don't want to be a bother...

Mikan-san, he already makes everything for everyone as a whole anyway. As long as we go at the right time, it should be fine. [ She pauses, moves to open the wine and drop the box of pocky between them. ] Either way, you should probably not have too much of this if you have not been eating efficiently enough.

[ She doesn't want to get her drunk??? ]

If it's really alright, then... A-alright.

[Probably a good idea not to drink too much anyhow, considering who she is as a person, but she nods in acceptance of this limitation.] M-maybe you'll have to drink my share too then! [It's a joke, if Mikan's little giggle afterwards is to to go by. Please don't get drunk either, Sonia.]

[ She smiles as she reaches to pour it out, probably splashing a bit on herself but it's fine. ] A little will not harm you, but we should probably take it easy. One or two small glasses will be more than enough.

[ She's European she'll be fine.

We grow up with this shit. ]

Sonia-san, I have a feeling if anyone could drink people under the table here, it'd be you...

[Sonia seems the type to either drink like a fish and remain composed... Or remain composed while loudly challenging anyone within earshot to an arm wrestling match or something.

She works on getting the pocky box open though.]

Have you been... Doing okay here? [Mikan asks tentatively, because so far it's been... Nice? For her, anyhow.]

I am not certain of that, however I have grown up with wine at dinner since I was much younger. It is almost a social etiquette at this point.

[ It may be true tbh. ]

I... [ She rearranges her dress. ] I have been having a lot of fun, actually. Have you?

[Europe is such a strange place...

She looks happy though, glad that Sonia's enjoying herself.] It's been... Interesting. [An adjustment from where she just came from, but interesting]

Everyone's been so nice and friendly... I-I don't really know about the dating part of all of this, but... It hasn't been so bad, so far. When I was with Ichigo-san, he showed me his poetry!

Though she isn't sure what "interesting" means in this case. ]

I am glad people have been friendly to you. Did you make friends at least?

[ Let's talk about Mikan first okok ] With Ichigo, perhaps?

I-I...Maybe? I don't really want to say anyone's a friend if they don't feel the same way... But, um... Ichigo-san is very nice. And so is Akira-san and Allen-san? Do you know them?

[She's pretty sure Sonia knows everyone at this point but Mikan will still ask, to be polite]

You are probably worrying too much about that. I talked to Ichigo-san only a little, but I am friends with Akira, yes. I... [ She pauses to take... a swig of wine?????

I asked Allen to kiss me during the bingo. They are all very nice people, I think.

[ Casually tries to just go over that. ]

I-I see...! [She looks surprised though and struggles to figure out what to say--there's a lot she WANTS to say, but most of it is inelegant spluttering.

In the end, as she finally relaxes some, she looks at Sonia quietly for a few seconds and then smiles a little] ...Sonia-san... If you find something happy here, I'm really glad. Allen-san is very nice!

[She tries to think of something to counter Sonai's claim with and in the end sorta. deflates a little.] I-I can barely ask Hinata-san to hug me... [AND SONIA IS GOING AROUND THROWING SMOOCHES OUT LIKE IT'S NOTHING??]

[ DON'T FREAK OUT AT THIS ]

Even if I did, it would not matter all that much. I would still have to return to my duties in my country.

[ We're going to make it sad, of course. ] So perhaps I just wished to make a choice for something I wanted while I could. [ She pauses, her tone and face brightening a bit. ] Do you want to kiss Hinata-san?

Ah, y-yeah... [ COUNTRY THAT MAY OR MAY NOT EXIST ANY LONGER, BUT SHE CAN'T SAY THAT FUCK] So, um! So you should definitely indulge to your heart's content here! [Little does she know that Sonia will be doing just that anyway. what an inspiration.

Her question though makes Mikan's face turn bright red and she makes a strangled noise, flopping over sideways onto the bed to bury her face in the covers.]

I-It's not about if I want to, b-but, what if-- I mean, W-would he even want to? I-if he wants to, I don't mind, b-but, but...! I, um, I don't want... To push my desires onto other people... [she turns her head to peek out at her, looking faintly miserable and embarrassed. Hinata had told her he was happy when she actually talked about things she wanted and all, but it's hard okay!] I...think I want to...

B-but I don't think I even really know how. I-I'm sure Hinata's kissed girls before! I saw Toshaka-san kiss him even... S-so I'm sure he wouldn't want to kiss someone like me after that.

[assent]

[ Right at the end would be the opportune moment tbh. Save her from herself, Mikan. But... god being cheered on like that actually embarrasses her a little. ] I will try to bear that in mind. If I am honest... I keep being told mixed opinions on the matter, so we shall see.

[ Though ah... there she goes. ]

You will not know for certain until you ask him though, will you? I think even if he did not feel the same, Hinata-san would be honest with you. He would not wish to hurt your feelings by leading you on either. [ But oh my god. ] I... admit I saw that too. During the bingo, yes? It is actually simpler than I imagined it would be.

[ She looks thoughtful. ]

Besides, I do not think someone he just met would match up to someone he has known from home... someone he can go home with, no? [ Her smile turns sheepish. ] Though if you are worried about how to do it... I am not really an expert either but I am willing to help you practice? If that is not too strange to say?
