I think she may be returning to Achilles-san's place.
[he doesn't know exactly what happened there, but something most assuredly did.]
I can stay at the hospital for a little while longer and orchestrate moving equipment to the quarantine area, if you think that would be safer for you. Peter-san has been at the university this whole time, so he's fine as is.
[he feels genuinely awful just talking shop when this is a trying moment, but he needs to know everything is secure, before he's incapable of securing anything.]
I see. It may be for the best. I may take a day or two to transfer equipment, but I may be able to ask for a favour to get hold of other supplies as well.
[ Though whether Kaz will be helpful this time is another thing entirely. ]
I will go back to my apartment, however. Giovanni may have offered to take a shift guarding quarantine, but he will be home the other times I imagine. I cannot imagine it being easy to concentrate while others pretend the threat of this is not as real as it is.
[ She may be looping back around to it eventually, but for now she can talk like this with him. ]
We will discuss matters through this then, I presume?
That's the problem here. Everyone is thinking too much one way or another. The virus is enough of a real threat, but we still don't know what to think about Zymandis being here.
And I think that would be best. We don't have to worry about infecting each other, but this is a very stressful situation. We might exacerbate it by being in close quarters even briefly.
[ That's all she has to say about that, and even with the text he might be able to tell how she's a little colder with her next response: ]
"We"?
[ It's only that, but there's something that suggests that she doesn't quite believe that's all there is to it. She's already half way into week three now and she is handling herself fine given the circumstances -- then again, she's more likely to make herself suffer more than anyone else. ]
I suppose I really just mean "me." This disease doesn't just affect the mind in simple ways. I can be... unpleasant even when I can choose what I say and what I don't. No one knows that better than you, Sonia-san.
I've never really had a problem with my temperament before, so I'm not entirely sure how some of the more aggressive personality symptoms may manifest. I don't want to say or do anything I don't mean or can't take back. It would only make the situation worse.
[it's a bit of a defeated text, offering no explanation. she knows- it's not just his words, but his actions. pressed into a corner, he could lash out in any number of ways.
but it doesn't matter. they'll avoid the issue and that will be that. now he just has to figure out a way to protect any other people who might cross his sphere.]
[ It doesn't change the fact that it frustrates her, though she can't really tell if it would have had she not been infected as well. She's already on week two, maybe even week three by now so despite her claims that she's holding strong -- no one really knows how long that will last either.
It just feels like being cut off, even if she knows it's a rational decision on his part too. She doesn't know what he can do, but given the connotations of what he is... She can imagine it would probably not be pleasant to deal with in the end.
Was she either though? She's already killed people before being infected here because of how she'd snapped. The only thing she can do with this is try harder so no one else has to go through this fate -- though she isn't sure how far along others are anymore either. ]

[ Sonia Nevermind... too stubborn for her own good. ]
I will still follow your instructions, of course. I just ask that in future you do not skirt around the issue. You have no reason to as of yet.
